Out for Lunch

I enjoyed a lunch out with some of the ladies from the gym. We went to a new French bistro downtown. An enjoyable meal and lots of good conversation. In spite of the cold we finished with a stroll to visit some of the interesting shops in the downtown area … clothing, shoes, chocolate, etc.

Another Snowy Day

Actually the snow hasn’t yet amounted to much. We were supposed to have a really big storm – everyone was talking about it. It is quite mild so although it has been snowing steadily the roads are quite clear. Mike is outside sanding his sculpture sans gloves or heavy winter gear.

Yesterday we went to the grandchildren’s birthday party. Mason just turned two and Julia was four last month. All the grandparents enjoyed spending the day with them.

Back home means back to the gym. It was good to start working at removing any excess pounds that may have been gained while on holiday. Also fun to join the ladies for the Friday coffee or tea after class. Lots of news to catch up on.

Home Again

We arrived home today (Thursday) about 4:00pm after a long two day drive from the warm, sunny south. Yesterday we encountered some nasty weather in the northern part of Virginia. After watching several vehicles go off the road and a tractor trailer narrowly avoid hitting a car, we stopped for the day.

By the time anyone reads this Valentine’s Day will have come and gone. We enjoyed a day out with Marie, Bob and Fergus. Ferg was happy to accompany us rather than have to stay home. He’s a very social dog.
We had a delicious dinner at one of the many local restaurants.
