We went to a concert at the Empire tonight… Jon Anderson, one time member of the group, Yes. Mike is much more familiar with the group and their music than I am but we both enjoyed the concert. Quite a feat to put on a one-man show.
I took Mum and Elizabeth for a drive this [...]

Earth Hour

Earth Hour has come and gone in this part of the world. We turned all our lights out and took a walk around our neighbourhood. Many houses were in darkness and a few of our neighbours were also out walking. For the rest of the hour we sat and chatted by the light of our [...]

The day started with the regular Friday gym classes and then tea with the ladies afterwards. Evelyn says I seem to have a fixation with the weather but I think a lot of us do right now. Love those robins I keep seeing and the glimpses of grass starting to peek through.
Congratulations to Elizabeth who [...]

Thursday

I went to pump class this morning…it was crowded as usual. It’s a popular class. I’ve been doing two pump classes a week and it seems beneficial.
Elizabeth and I had an outing… she purchased a new table. Then we dropped by to see Mum and put our heads together to solve a problem she was [...]

Thank goodness for the sun. Any fresh snow seems to have disappeared…still lots of the old stuff around though. Monotonous isn’t it? Ah well it won’t be long now…

A fairly busy day…scrapbook group this morning, doctor’s appointment and pilates class as well as [...]

Hey, Lynne, I’m doing my best to give you something to read every day.
Happy Birthday to cousin Frances in East [...]

Happy Easter

It seemed strange to have Easter fall so early, especially with the piles of snow still on the ground. However, we saw a sure sign of spring as we sat having lunch today. There in the tree outside the kitchen window was our first robin of the year! What a welcome, cheery sight.
Vanessa called to [...]

Saturday

The weather is definitely looking up. Elizabeth and I took Mum for a ride in the country to take advantage of the bright sunny day. We also stopped at ArtPlus so Mum could visit Mike’s art exhibition.
Elizabeth has completed three smoke free weeks. Congratulations!
Happy Easter to all.

Spring is here…

Actually, except for a brief snowfall today was bright and sunny at least for part of the day…and the temperature was on the plus side by about 1 degree. Too bad about the wind which made it feel cooler.
Mum was happy to be able to get out and come to our place for dinner. The [...]
