Tonight we went to QFA to see a Romanian movie “4 months, 3 weeks & 2 days”. It was a gritty, graphic view of life in Communist Romania. The well-acted movie was difficult to watch not only for the subject matter but for the dimly lit hand held camera film technique but definitely worth seeing. [...]

Golf Season Is Here

This year I have decided to join a local ladies’ golf league which tees off on Tuesday mornings. Susan and I started this morning… a crisp, sunny day…perfect for a round of golf. My score was awful but I was pleased with with my putting. I’ll have to keep working on the rest of my [...]

Today was the Rotary Trump Aids walk. The weather held until we finished in spite of the predidictions of thunderstorms. Judging by the number of walkers it seemed to be a success. All the different teams sounded like they were enjoying themselves and Marie and I had a good time meeting the people who were [...]

Back to the gym this morning after a couple of days off. Kim was also back for our Friday triple class…we all had missed her. She put us through our paces and we loved it! The gathering for tea afterwards was well attended even though three of the regulars are off on vacations…a cruise, a [...]

A busy few days…
Vanessa arrived for a brief visit on Tuesday. Wednesday was her birthday. Mike cooked a wonderful meal as usual and Mum, Elizabeth, Marie and Bob were here to help Vanessa celebrate her day. It’s always great to see her and as usual the time passed too quickly.

What Are the Options?” Lang is the co-author of the award winning book “The Unexpected War”. He is a knowledgeable and easy to listen to speaker. The [...]

After all the gym classes and extra pilates this week I almost didn’t go to the full Friday morning class at the gym… was going to just go for the last part. However, I went for the complete class and naturally was glad that I had. Of course I went for tea afterwards.
Mike did some [...]
Sure Signs of Spring

What a glorious sunny day! Mike and I drove about doing some errands as an excuse to be out on such a wonderful day. We caught sight of some baseball tryouts in the nearby park and visited one of the garden centres to see what they have available so far. The river still looks very [...]
Busy, Busy Day

Whew, not too many spare moments today. First on the agenda was an energetic step class at the gym followed by tea with some of the “Tea Bags”. Thanks, ladies for the generous donations to the charity walk.
After lunch I headed to the Empire for the QFA film where I met Elizabeth, Lynne, Deborah and [...]

What a glorious sunny day – and warm too. I spent the day out and about…combat class this morning, pilates this afternoon, Mum’s doctor appointment…just the regular eye checkup. She came for dinner as did Mike’s Dad. Mike spent a quieter day than he likes as his knee has been acting up.
Reminders… Still time to [...]
