Today Mum, Elizabeth and I went for a drive to see the lilacs before they are done for the year.
We stopped first in Trenton to see Paula at her store, Scrapbooks and Smiles. Of course we bought a few things. I talked Elizabeth into buying Stacy Julian’s book, Photo Freedom, which I have and [...]

Today I went with Marie and Susan to the vintage fashion show put on by the local Hospital Auxilliary as a fund raiser and in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the group. We were treated to fashions and music of the decades from the 30’s to the present. Many of the items were special [...]

We took a drive in the County today to view the arrays of lilacs along the roadsides. The lilacs are always spectacular at this time of year and are great for photographing. We stopped to eat a picnic lunch in a quiet spot at Lake of the Mountain and then browsed in a few stores [...]

I spent a good part of the day golfing with Susan and two other ladies in the league that I have joined. My score was a bit more respectable than it was last week. Still lots of room for improvement though.

We spent a fairly relaxing weekend…family dinner on Sunday, some yard work, some exercise in the form of brisk walks, dinner at Marie and Bob’s on Saturday.
Cousin Ingie sent an email to say she is back home and on the mend after a short stay in hospital.
Not too much in the way of fireworks in [...]

We golfed today with Stephen and Susan and generally enjoyed being outside on such a beautiful day. My score was awful as usual but I was pleased to get one par. I’ve only had three or four pars in my golfing career. Mike had two pars and two birdies! His knee was sore again afer [...]

This morning I joined Susan and two other ladies in the league for a round of golf. It was my second time out with the league and it was certainly clear that I’m the beginner in the group…and I have the score to prove it. Nevertheless, it was a beautiful day and I enjoyed myself.
Later [...]

After tea with the ladies I met Marie for a shopping excursion to Kingston. Mike went golfing with Bill, Bob and Chris… a perfect day for it. Later, we all met up at our place for dinner and some good conversation.
The Bulls won their game last night and are still in the running for the [...]
