Monday was Dad’s birthday. He would have been 106… born in 1902. Elizabeth And I went to visit Mum that afternoon. There was an entertainer at the home and we went in with Mum to see him. I got involved in an impromptu version of the Charleston to the tune Five Foot Two, Eyes of Blue and Elizabeth took the photos to prove it. 🙂 The singer even led a round of Happy Birthday for Dad so Mum was pleased. Monday evening, Mike and I went to see the movie, Passchendaele, and quite enjoyed it.
Last night we went to Toronto to see the musical, Jersey Boys, which is about Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. It was absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend it.
I had a quick visit with Vanessa at her office while we were in Toronto then Mike and I went for drinks at the Chick’n Deli and had dinner at our favourite Japanese restaurant before heading for the theatre. It was snowing as we started for home but once outside Toronto it stopped. We arrived home just before 1 am.
In spite of a long day yesterday, we both made it to the gym this morning, then I had tea with the ladies. We relaxed in the afternoon before heading to Marie and Bob’s for dinner. Next on the agenda was the Bulls hockey game. We left with about four minutes to play. The Bulls were leading the Peterborough Petes 5 – 1 so I’m assuming that they won.
